Nomade Taller建筑師事務(wù)所設(shè)計(jì)了一個(gè)教堂，名為Space to Talk with God.（與上帝對(duì)話的神圣空間），Rumipamba社區(qū)全程參與該教堂的設(shè)計(jì)，因此，教堂滿足了社區(qū)的精神需求。該項(xiàng)目設(shè)計(jì)宗旨是將社區(qū)與神明聯(lián)系起來(lái)，并將傳統(tǒng)的建筑技術(shù)流傳下去，也是對(duì)當(dāng)?shù)匚幕妓嚨谋Ａ舴绞健?br />
項(xiàng)目位于Rumiñahui 的鄉(xiāng)村教區(qū)，因沒(méi)有專(zhuān)門(mén)的教堂，該社區(qū)人們的信仰隨著時(shí)間的流逝而逐漸減弱。該項(xiàng)目的建設(shè)就是為了能夠改變這一現(xiàn)狀，建設(shè)一個(gè)神圣空間，將人們的信仰重現(xiàn)建立。在該項(xiàng)目的設(shè)計(jì)過(guò)程中，設(shè)計(jì)師與當(dāng)?shù)厣鐓^(qū)居民開(kāi)了5次會(huì)議，均是討論當(dāng)?shù)厝藗兊母鞣N觀點(diǎn)和精神需求，設(shè)計(jì)師都將他們的想法融入到了設(shè)計(jì)中。這種參與式的設(shè)計(jì)才會(huì)滿足該社區(qū)居民真正的精神需求，還能夠完美地將社區(qū)文化背景融入到設(shè)計(jì)中。
Nomade Taller de Arquitectura responds to the spiritual needs of the Rumipamba community in Quito, Ecuador, creating ‘Space to Talk with God.’ Conceived through a participatory design process, the project aims to reconnect the community with the sacred while revitalizing ancestral building techniques. This initiative honors local craftsmanship, in an act of cultural revaluation.
Located in the rural parish of Rumiñahui, the community had never had a dedicated church space, and their faith was visibly waning over time. The project’s goal was to create a space that could transform this reality through architecture, reaffirming its role as an agent of change. The design process involved a series of five collaborative meetings with the community, where local perspectives and spiritual needs were discussed and integrated into the design. The resulting architecture is a direct manifestation of the community’s worldview, emphasizing a deep connection to their social and cultural context.

該建筑墻體為土墻，是為了向傳統(tǒng)的建筑技術(shù)致敬，也是為了降低建造成本。這種設(shè)計(jì)方法也符合當(dāng)?shù)氐慕?jīng)濟(jì)狀況，滿足他們低成本高效率解決問(wèn)題的需求。該項(xiàng)目需要建造一個(gè)人們能夠與上帝對(duì)話的神圣空間，內(nèi)部空間較小，但是布局合理，還設(shè)計(jì)有一個(gè)多功能祭壇，除當(dāng)?shù)厝耸褂猛?，還對(duì)外開(kāi)放。場(chǎng)地內(nèi)還設(shè)計(jì)有室外集會(huì)空間，這是室內(nèi)空間的延伸。
該建筑的室內(nèi)空間體驗(yàn)感較為豐富，入口空間較黑較狹窄，進(jìn)入內(nèi)部后會(huì)逐漸到達(dá)光亮的主廳，意味著來(lái)到了神明庇佑中。該項(xiàng)目的祭壇由三個(gè)臺(tái)階組成，分別代表圣父、圣子和圣靈，并設(shè)計(jì)有木格子柔化入射的光線。外部祭壇則是使用兩個(gè)相交的橫豎木梁形成的一個(gè)十字架，只有在場(chǎng)地特定的位置才能夠看見(jiàn)，增加了戶外空間的神圣感。
The designers opted for earthen walls, paying homage to the region’s vernacular construction methods while also utilizing local resources to keep costs low. This choice reflects the economic realities of the community and their need for a cost-effective solution. The primary architectural premise is to create a space where inpiduals can connect with the pine, and speak with God. The interior of the temple is minimal, optimized for the use of the locals, and includes a dual-function altar, oriented both inward and outward, allowing the church to accommodate larger gatherings by extending into the surrounding environment.
The interior space is designed as a sensory experience, beginning with a narrow, dark entryway that opens into a main hall bathed in natural light, symbolizing pine presence. The altar is composed of three steps, representing the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and features a wooden lattice that softens the incoming light. The exterior altar, integrated into the design, uses two intersecting wooden beams, one vertical and one horizontal, to form a cross, visible only from a specific vantage point, adding a sacred dimension to the outdoor space as well.
